The River Birch is a fast growing hardy native tree that is also known for its beautiful exfoliating bark in a multitude of white, salmon, and cinnamon colors and shades. It can tolerate clay soil and wetter areas, but a medium drained soil is better.
It is more of a narrower growing tree with some width and will grow to 30′-40′ over 30 years. It is best known for its multi-color bark which can be enjoyed throughout the year.
