Schip Laurels are a very classy, and attractive fast-growing evergreen hedge shrub that offers you excellent all year around natural screening and privacy.
We are one of a very few local growers who actually grow Schip Laurels in this area, and are proud of how healthy, green, and luscious our specimens are.
If you are looking for quantity, we can deliver a truckload of 50 – 250 Schip Laurels to out-of-state… to NJ, NY, CT, Ohio, DE, VA, and elsewhere. Please call us to set up.
Schip laurel, or sometimes called Cherry Laurel, is a great small-to-mid sized privacy barrier choice with multiple size options. They can grow up to 24″ per year and can be sheared/ pruned to shape it nicely. These shrubs love full sun, but can take half shade. You can even create a Schip Laurel fence.
Schip Laurels can create a beautiful solid privacy hedge or laurel fence, and shearing or pruning can help shape them. More privacy can mean more security for your property. Planting these now at the correct spacing can create that instant hedge and peace-of-mind and privacy that everyone wants.
We recommend planting medium size specimens every 3′ for tight hedge shrubs that are just starting to touch. Larger 5′ -6′ specimens can be spaced 4′ apart, or more. Ultimately unless sheared back, these plants can potentially grow up to 8’+ high, but that takes years and any spreading will take some time as well.
