This is a very desirable tall multi-stemmed shrub that is ideal for use as an accent shrub or small tree. It is deciduous, highly resistant to powdery mildew, and will die back in the winter to re-flower from older stems in the spring. It blossoms profusely with beautiful Pink Flowers throughout the summer. Plant in a sunny, sheltered location away from the winter winds. USDA zones 5- 9

We find that this tree is very hardy with minimal problems with insects and disease. It is most comparable to its female parent, Prunus x yedoensis Yoshino, except for its slightly larger size and noticeably large pink flowers. This tree is a true winner, and we are quite impressed with its many positive characteristics. It is Highly recommended!
