The Green Giant Arborvitae are a fast-growing, hardy, fragrant, and generally deer-resistant evergreen variety that provides you with year-around privacy and beauty. These are evergreen trees, and will offer privacy and block views in the winter when other trees lose their leaves… IN STOCK NOW.

We are introducing our new “Mega Roots” Green Giants that grow faster, and have a fuller shape than the traditional tree.

These Mega Roots trees have thousands of feeder roots that enable the trees to absorb more water and nutrients faster.  More roots means faster growth!

These Special 6′ – 7’+ root-pruned specimens will grow 3′ – 4′ per year once planted in the ground, according to our customer tests. These are full bodied, and have superior root systems that enable these special trees to grow very fast after planting!  (Please see the photos #5 and #6 when these trees were 2 year seedlings.)

The Green Giant arborvitae can quickly transform your property into your own private refuge.  Trees can block a certain view or replace that view and give you almost instant privacy.

Evergreen trees will offer privacy and block unwanted views 12 months of the year, while deciduous trees lose their leaves in the fall and winter.

You can be creative by planting Green Giant arborvitae in a staggered pattern or in a straight line to create a beautiful living ‘green wall’ to enjoy, as opposed to an unattractive metal or wood fence that you have to look at every day.  These trees also provide great song bird nesting sites and year around protection for birds during inclement weather.

These trees offer a great environmental and neighbor-friendly solution to creating privacy and a better environment for all. They are fragrant, evergreen, and tolerate clay soil, and black walnut trees nearby.

We suggest this variety frequently to our customers as a smarter privacy replacement for the many other evergreen types that can often fail from wind blow over, shearing in half from snow/ ice storms, and just growing too oversized, or simply growing too slowly to meet their needs. These trees are often called Green Thuja, Giant Thuja, and Thuja Green Giants.

The Green Giant arborvitae is our ‘Number One’ choice for a privacy barrier and security screening.  We grow these in large quantity, but do source these from other growers as well to support the demand for these trees.  The trees will be delivered in either tree bags or pots, usually in 7, 10 or 15 gal sizes.

We recommend 4′-5′ spacing (trunk to trunk) to create that fast growing privacy and security screening without overcrowding the trees. Over 12 – 15 years they will grow to an approximate 20′ – 25′ height with a 6′-7′ overall width or more, depending upon growing conditions.
